Insulation is rated in terms of thermal resistance, called R-value, which indicates the resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the resistance of heat flow (insulating effectiveness). The R-value of thermal insulation depends on the type of material, its thickness, and its density. In calculating the R-value of a multi-layered installation, the R-values of the individual layers are added.
We use thick panels of EPS to achieve a maximum R-Value. In using EPS our walls actually increase the thermal efficiency as the temperature decreases.
Nominal R value of type 2 polystrene insulation is R4 per inch at 72 degrees and is not affected by moisture as fibre insulation does.

In terms of on site assembly the Perfect Panel System is in a class in its own. Typically built out in 1 day or less, it is comparable to stick framing in cost of material and labour together; however the final product will surpass stick framing in both quality and construction time. PPS is much more advanced and ads a significant amount of value over stick framing.
